Aliens, that's a possibility. The next great text could be from space.

Alien documents...
that sounds pretty good. I can see that happening. Either that, or the next Joseph Smith will have to come up with the "original" documents to what he translates so that experts can verify the translation. Someone adept at ancient languages could probably do this convincingly enough.
Forget the preachers...they are only human, and often have an agenda of their own. Listen to your intuition/the holy spirit. That's the only way to "know" what God wants...but why would he tell you about MY life?

SuccessWarrior, You are right, there will always be new religions, new prophets of the ilk of the one you mentioned, et al. But, God changes not and the new religions will not be of his making and the new prophets may not be either One thing that can be counted on is that God's Word will stand forever. It will be interesting to read your next post describing the new religions. I have studied many of those of the past and present which seem quite ridiculous to me. But, then, what I believe seems ridiculous to you. Aren't humans absurd. LOL One has to have a sense of humor to make it in this world.

Alien texts
That's what will be our new obsession. Some little green guys will come to convert us and we will line up like sheep and read their holy text, "To Serve Man."
