Things like that happen so fast.  I am sure it was terribly scary.  I am just glad you are ok.

You are lucky
that your skill insinctively kicked in. I have also doen something stupid with a motorbike. I was riding on the farm and was looking behind me counting equipment that was laid out. When I faced forwards there was the "cash-in-transit" vehicle coming towards me. I had no time to react and hit the vehicle head-on. Luckily it was a slow motion accident and no harm was done. The only thing that was dented was my pride.

geez... be careful! I always worry when there is a bike infront or
behind me when I'm driving... I worry about hitting the brakes for this very reason.

WritersBlok... and Lucy
I am the most conservative, careful rider... I always choose the absolutely most extremely conservative course and I make good decisions and wear lots of protection.  My Dragon is a wonderful bike and we take care of each other.  I don't do the risky stuff that people see other motorcyclists do...  I think that this was just a fluke.

Nanaroo,
Please be careful. I love motorcycles myself but it terrifies me to think of the dangers associated with it. I feel I think about them much more now that I am older. I cringe everytime I see a scantily clad female riding on the back of one as the driver weaves recklessly through traffic. All I can think of is that the girls' skin will be no more with one little fall. At least we know you weren't at that risk, or do we?
