He took the phone with him this morning. PLUS he left me a text when he got to work. I am guessing he had one of the guys at work show him how LOL!!! Of course when I call him at lunch time payback will be complete as I kind of added a "certain" ringtone that will NOT go un-noticed by his co-workers!!!

Rumored
It's a very rare occasion that he has not made sure I knew exactly where he was. Of course I made him make it up to me anyway
.
It never occured to him that I would have any reason to be worried or he would have risked waking me LOL!

LOL Corbin
Carl had actually "assumed" (we all know what that stands for) that I would know that was where he was. Certain things still push the panic button for me and as I discovered yesterday, this was one of them. OK, yes I concede that I DID know exactly where to look and he was TRYING to be considerate (or to be more honest he is afraid to wake me cuz I am not friendly in the wee hours of the morning). But I really hate being scared!
Yes, I am a worry wort (wart?) but I kind of have a lot of practice.

Genetic flaw is it? I'll have to make sure he never hears that and uses it against me
By no means did he mean to worry me, I had been up late the night before and he was actually trying to let me sleep, never figuring his boss would call as there had already been the statement about the rain.

Ummmmm???
When's this coming out in paperback?
You're a worry wart, bel.......
Men keep a list of undone things for friends in the back of their minds, when the opportunity arises....a little window pops open and reminds us of our promise.......I guess it's a tribal thing going back to the clans of the cave bear people.

We do often see things very differently. My husband figured that all would be well until he arrived home at 9am or he would have never let me worry. He was trying to be considerate, it just didn't work out that well.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Bel,
That was a sweetly lovable incident that I think would have been great fun had something like this happened with me. Men are men and women are women. You suddenly remind me that my wife too is not so different. What I think trivial she takes seriously and I can't quite unrestand or change myself because she can always and forever be unpredictable. Your Post is a great one!

It is never nice to worry about a loved one. The feeliing is awful. I learnt early on in my marriage that a simple phone call is all that is required by my wife, just to let her know where I am. I hope you are feeling better as I am sure that the emotional levels must still be high after Carl went to Iraq. He does sound very supportive and just remember that we men are sometimes not the most sensitive creatures on earth. We do not do it on purpose, I think it is a genetical flaw.

I never go anywhere without telling Liz or if she is out, I leave a note...
so when she gets back she doesnt panic.not if I just ran to 7-11 to pick up milk, no, but if I'm gone somewhere that is going to amount to some time, I do let her know..she does the same for me...has it been that way for 38 years? no..we had to learn..

Ohhhh, what a sweet, sobby story!
I got all tear-y too. I can see how you'd be worried sick. But all men are like this...they just don't think like we do so this shit never occurs to them.
I DO hope you'll kick his butt for this...maybe he'll think twice next time.
