BlondeAmbition.....

I've been working all day and haven't had a chance to respond......you took part of the statement out of context......the author is trying to point out the the idea of everyone being equal is being carried to warfare....it's not fair for the US and Israel to have superior force....therefore for all things to be equal...they shouldn't be allowed to use it.....in full force.....

No one is saying everyone wasn't "created" equal......

I just responded to your comment on my post. Thank you. It was a great comment. It is not the creation that assures us equality it is the choices we make. I don't agree that all religions are basically the same as someone commented on survival and equality. That is why this is a clash of wills that will go its directed way regardless of your desires. Many who claim to be believers have looked at this in a way directly opposing the way they are instructed to think and act. Real knowledge of the Word is a great help.

It's an uncomfortable prospect

Could we have won WW II with the kind of media coverage we have now?  Large portions of the country wanting to retreat or even siding with the enemy, endless stories about the poor German civilians who were killed, equally endless stories about cases where American soldiers mistreated prisoners, a United Nations and world community consisting mostly of backwards dictatorships telling us we aren't being careful enough to be nice while fighting...

All human life is valuable, and all humans are created equal, but it seems you must make compromises with those values in order to wage a war.  We could just become pacifists, but then the most barbaric would win.

Corbin-Demoralization is indeed one of the most insidious weapons of haters
Just as we are created equal, our Creator also give us freedom to choose whether to follow His guidelines on how best to live our lives and to behave toward each other. The basic guidelines are the same in most every religion, yet distorted by those who hate or the vulnerable who are led to hate.  This is a time for freedom-loving Believers as well as freedom-loving unbelievers to show strength and courage.

The quote below from your post.......

What if the universalist idea of liberal democracy - the idea that all people are created equal

You do not believe we are all created equal? Are people labeled as conservatives now that belileve that all people are created equal?

I\ve always considered my self a Republican due to my stance and agreements with the Republican party........I see now why I truly dislike labels and categories. It discourages free thinking.

I still respect your comments and appreciate your blog posts.

For some reason, I had an issue mostly with the red highlighted comment above.

Actually, I kinda respect the way the Islamic militants embrace the simpler pleasures of life.

P.S. What's the bolgosphere?

"Instead of building newer and larger weapons of mass destruction,
I think mankind should try to get more use out of the ones we have."
