PostSmile!  This is such a heartwarming story of  true love.. the story also made me cry. I loved the words under the ripple picture. I know you feel blessed that your Mother remembered you until the end was near. I would like to think that she is looking down on you now and saying .. Corbin .. I never forgot you.. I was very busy getting ready to go to a better place without this illness. You remember.. I didn't even have time to smoke!                            PostSmile!  Thanks for sharing, my friend..PostSmile!

You are amazing. Thanks for opening your heart up to us like that.

It does remind me of that movie notebook! Such a wonderful love story.

Also, Pay it Forward is one of my favorite movies.

LOL Corbin

Acting is not exactly my venue and honestly, I should do alot more than I do.  I try piece by piece to give back what has been given to me.

I try to reach out to other military wives who are in the situation I was in last year.  Had it not been for the awesome folks here, I would have been more than a little bit alone.  I try to give that to others because I know how it feels.

Have you seen the movie "Pay it Forward?

A school social studies assignment leads to social changes that spread from city-to-city. Assigned to come up with some idea that will improve mankind, a young boy (Haley Joel Osment) decides that if he can do three good deeds for someone and they in turn can "pay it forward" and so forth, positive changes can occur. What appears to initially be a failure, is indeed a success that is not immediately known but is traced backwards by a reporter who is a benefactor.

You'd be good for a  lead in the remake..........

When tryng to respond to your comment.....I felt that you had caused a ripple effect here on blogit....I searched for a photo of a ripple and this one came up with the one paragraph under it.......it certainly said what I wanted to say.........though I didn't write it....it represented to me the ripple you started a couple of days ago on your blog........

Bel

I do believe that you started all of this on your blog...... it's called

The Ripple Effect.......

Like a drop of water falling into a pond, our every action ripples outward, affecting other lives in ways both obvious and unseen. We touch the lives of those with whom we come into contact and, by extension, those with whom they come into contact. When our actions spring from a spirit of kindness or compassion or generosity, we set into motion a "virtuous cycle" that radiates far beyond our ability to see, or perhaps even fully comprehend.

Awesome story, Corbin.
I have read it before, and it's a wonderful reminder of what TRUE love is all about.  Not the touchy feely sort of love, but an eternal and unconditional love.

What is it with you people today?

First Rumored now YOU!!!  I swear I have no more tears left!

I watched The Notebook a few days after Carl headed for Fort Dix in 04.  I remember sobbing through that movie and hoping that at the end of my life come what may, that I would have a love like that.  The illness may fog the memory but it does not fog the heart.  I would rather die from a horrible physical illness than forget I love him.
