No such thing as a stress-free life...
Stress -- as in fear of being eaten by something with big teeth -- is what kept us two steps ahead of our predators.  The art is channeling the stress, using its energy -- rather than sitting and stewing in dis-stress and letting it eat the walls of our arteries.

If you find the answer let me know because I'm on the same quest. Joseph Campbell says follow your bliss. You seem to be opened to all kinds of blissful outlets, Jazzman. Be more of what you are, would be my added-vice.

Mademoiselle
you have left me pleasantly perplexed with that comment. Was Uncle Walt involved in dubious marketting practices? An inside trader ahead of his time?

thanks LLM
no I haven't ventured down the coma writing path... the thought kind of freaks me out. But I have been chugging along with the short story writing.

Or so Whitman would have us believe ...

Who knows how he really attained his inspiration?

On the black market, most likely.

Hi Rob...

Glad your chest isn't so bad today.  Also glad your tooth problem was easily solved!!  If only I were so lucky!!  BTW...Did you ever happen to try out that writing exsercise on coma I suggested a few weeks ago?  Just curious.

Anyway, glad things are going so well regarding your upcoming trip here.  Glad you're feeling better, too!!

Rob,

You do what you like to de-stress.... I enjoy music, so my treat is going to concerts.  This year I've treated myself to Paul McCartney and U-2.   In two weeks, I'll be dancing and playing the air-violin to Dave Mathews... Oh great, I got the CHICEF feeling  A-gain!!    I'm suddenly not sleepy.  What do I do? Belly dance?
