Sometimes we need mood enhancers to start our day

It would certainly be more practical, Mademoiselle, as well as save on
enzyme cleaners for the clothes.  Not to mention, it might have the effect of stunning the victim first and rendering them helpless. (with laughter, in my case).

Thank you, BlackPearl ...

I have not been feeling well, and thus, had to cobble something together quickly ... before the dramamine kicked in.

That works out well for both of us then, Azur,

Because now I don't need to come up with a clever reply either.

What are you talking about, Ben?

Actually, Bandana, that wasn't what I was not referring to in my non-question ...

I don't remember all the details of my favorite one, Aaron,
but it had something to do with a shark riding an elephant.

my key to after the shower is....
...to dry myself so that i don't feel "wet and weird"...maybe still weird, but the wet part is no longer. also i have weird feelings too...like (and this has something to do with a book i want to write) if i was to meet Robin Hood, i would call an insane asylum and move him to Kansas.

Mademoiselle, actually I only get that weird feeling after I've attempted
to wash off the blood in the shower.  (Sort of a combination of Items 1 and 3 on your list).  Just kidding. Sort of.

That's a creepy invitation from me to you...

No, just joking. I meant Check! as in I mentally checked it for my own future use (if she ever turn back on me. You know, nothing serious, just a precaution procedure.)

I am a really nice person, trust me!

posted by bandanafish on July 29, 2006 at 12:06 PM | link to this | reply

Well, of course, I could always delete the comment ...

but I won't.

P.S. How am I supposed to "check" in your private diary then?

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 12:01 PM | link to this | reply

Well, you are completely right.

I shouldn't have shared her story so publically like that. Even though, when she told me about her period problem, I almost laughed. I am so sorry Liz. Oh NO! Please, everybody, her name is not ELIZABETH! Is not!

ps. I keep it in my private diary. In that case, I also have about ten of them.

posted by bandanafish on July 29, 2006 at 11:58 AM | link to this | reply

Yup, Bandana dear, I am ...

He's a Dipsy (the green one).

I have all of them, actually.  Though I only sleep with him because to, like, completely fill my bed with stuffed animals would be babyish.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 11:56 AM | link to this | reply

You are not telling me you are sleeping with these things:
They are all on crack! They are always high on their strange shows. Not to mention, they are scary, too.

P.S.

Which one is your diary, anyway?

You have, like, eight.

Btw, Bandana:
I can't fall asleep without my Care Bear in bed with me.  My Teletubbie and Glow Worm, also.

Wait, it just occurred to me,
"peed her pants" might be a cousin to Peter Pan.

posted by bandanafish on July 29, 2006 at 11:38 AM | link to this | reply

I have never

felt weird in the morning. The closest thing would be uncomfortable, especially if there was someone sleeping next to me. Even if they were sleeping on the floor, I'd wake up instantly uncomfortable.

So one of ex-housemates was (still is) a Catholic who professed to me (in tears! in other words, she opened up to me! HAHAHA! I noted down all the things to be used against her. :P) that her mother once prayed for her period to come on time. (Hmm.. so she had period problem... check!) And a couple days later, it came. She said that was a miracle, in a serious manner. Okay, so by day, she's this Catholic, by night, she'd go downtown party all night. This one morning she woke up from a blackout on the floor (thank goodness, it wasn't in my room) and peed her pants. That must have been a weird feeling- she technically should have transformed back to a Catholic by then. Meet the whore and the Catholic!

I noted that episode down in diary, too. Check!

"Signs", Blonde ...
And that one scene where Mel Gibson is trying to "look" under the door with the spoon (to see if anyone's in the next room) ... is one of the five scariest scenes I've ever seen.

Mademoiselle

What was that one called with the corn fields and Mel Gibson? That one was scary.

How could you not have?  You should watch for it then, it's called "To Serve Man".

Soooo scary.

I have nightmares similar to that, Blonde.

In fact, alien abduction is my single greatest fear ... ever since I saw that episode of The Twilight Zone with the cookbook.

Mademoiselle
Sometimes I also get an eeeeire feeling like maybe I was abducted by aliens durning the night and they were doing some weird experiments on me...........could be the sleeping pill side effects...not sure.

Only replace tequila with Vodka.

Plus, add a ton of coke.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 11:05 AM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle
When I wake up feeling strange, it is usually because I drank way too much tequilla the night before and I'm scared to look beside me to see who might be there.

I'm not sure where I would conceal it, though.

Well, at least we're back to talking about the same thing again.

Or rather...

um

What was this post about?

Maybe it would be best to keep a tranquilizer gun on oneself at all times, just in case one should find oneself caught amidst a pack of hungry lions.  This could also apply to bears, killer whales, and tax attorneys.  You just never know.

posted by myrrhage_ on July 29, 2006 at 10:38 AM | link to this | reply

Well, I guess that clears things up, then ...

Madem,
I never threaten, and I almost never try.  Do or don't do.  Maybe I will, maybe I won't.  I certainly don't mean to make anybody feel weird though.

Is that a promise?

Or, a threat?

And that, in itself, is actually normal, Troosha ...

Ironically enough.

Still, however, there are varying degrees of "feeling weird"ness.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 10:23 AM | link to this | reply

No offense, Totum, but ...
I've never seen anyone add an addendum to her comment before.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 10:21 AM | link to this | reply

I feel weird when I don't wake up weird!

posted by Troosha on July 29, 2006 at 10:15 AM | link to this | reply

Addendum:

Sometimes somebody writes something that seems fairly casual to them, but it might mean something completely different to the reader.  The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost, springs to mind.  He insists that the poem was written simply about a journey through the woods.  Yeah, sure Bob, right right right.

As for me, I think it boils down to three oft spoken but seldom experienced words:

Vay Kay Shun

I suppose that's one way to look at it, Totum.

Although, I think you may have given this a tad too much thought.

What if saving him meant suicide for him later?  What if it was the other way around?  What if you discovered that the ball the lions chase is made of glass?  What if all of it is illusion, and the pain we experience amounts to nothing more than what we create for ourselves?  Like Saint Elmo's Fire: Unpredictable, it appears to assault us from nowhere when we least expect it.

A flash and a ribbon of smoke, and it is gone.

P.S.
You're in luck, however, seeing as I'm not feeling well today.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 9:44 AM | link to this | reply

Good point, Jazwolf ...

I would imagine that's probably true.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 9:42 AM | link to this | reply

Madem--- Well, if what I said makes sense to you, perhaps I should be
worrying about my own sanity?

posted by Jazwolf on July 29, 2006 at 9:32 AM | link to this | reply

That makes sense, Jazwolf ...
I know that whenever I say anything sensible, people always ask me if I'm "feeling okay?"

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 9:05 AM | link to this | reply

Madem--- Precisely. You wake up, you get the weird feeling, and you go with
it. Heck, sometimes I don't shake it for weeks. By then, it's become normal, and, when I feel normal again, it's weird.

posted by Jazwolf on July 29, 2006 at 9:01 AM | link to this | reply

What's the alternative, Jazwolf?

Not feeling weird when you don't wake up?

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 8:53 AM | link to this | reply

Thank you, Bel ...

I'm supposed to be at the Zoo right now, but I woke up with a severe head cold of some sort, so now I'm bored out of my skull.

Thus, I felt like posting something a little different.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 29, 2006 at 8:52 AM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle--- Feeling weird when you wake up, alas, becomes more
and more a fact of life as one ages. Still, it's better than the alternative.
