Decshak, does this have anything whatsoever to do with the post?

Cause, quite frankly, I'm not seeing the connection?

Ah! There ARE benefits to being an ONLY child. One does not have to
mess with sibling rivalry.  Of course, the downside, or so my mother told me, is that I'm not prepared for the real world (and my addition) where there are lots of people who still compete for STUPID things.

Editor's note:

Okay! It has been pointed out to me that I erroneously referred to the Mayor of McDonaldLand as having a hamburger for a head.  When, obviously, it would be a cheeseburger ... hence the name "Mayor McCheese".

Sorry for any confusion or distress this may have caused.

I don't think so, Passion ...

I only like mint chocolate or mocha chip.  Both of which are probably a tad too exotic for that place's menu.

Care to share, Bandana dear?

This is stunning news!
Thanks for your brave report...journalists like you deserve some sort of MEDAL. Can I get you a vanilla McCone???????

Just out of the blue,

I gotta tell you: I had a nice day.

Hope you did, too.

Editor's note:
Stay tuned ... the story takes a rather peculiar and amusing turn ... in fact, in a way, it's really not even about my cousin at all, actually.

Apparently, Penguin ...

Meanwhile, how come the police chief also has a hamburger for a head?!  Seems like nepotism to me.

It would be cool if the Hamburglar (who's had a nose job, btw) kidnapped police chief Big Mac, and then ate him.

Now way, Aaron!  He's a total hack!

Who only "earned" his position through a systematic process of pay-offs and intimidation!

I guess it's gone the way of all life's "simple pleasures", Tanga ...
crushed underneath the fickle feet of our lazy, unimaginative society of mindless automatons.

No, Ann, I was just joking ...

Wow, you sure jumped to conclusions on that one!

I do, however, possess an extensive Uncanny X-men comic book collection (by way of my older brother) ... which I've been told is likely worth quite a bit.

mademoiselle
you are most certainly right with you theory considering the mayor, as it is a well known fact that nearly all political officials are corrupt and naturally applies to McCheese dude as well....I was enthralled...isn't 13 too old to play on the playset anyways?

posted by penguinrock26 on July 28, 2006 at 10:49 AM | link to this | reply

I'd still rather have Mayor McCheese be in power
than any Democrat and most Republicans.

You write so
well that I can picture the whole scene and have to sadistically smile. I have always wondered when something like that would happen. Fortunately not one of my kids, I must add yet as they also play pretty rough on these superficial kid's "playgrounds". What happened to the good old days were you found a large tree and amused yourself the whole day?

You mean like the entire series of every single edition of Happy Meal toy?

I'm a serious collector, actually, Ann.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 28, 2006 at 7:04 AM | link to this | reply

I haven't met one kid who doesn't like the toy in a Happy Meal. The young at heart can still enjoy them. Lol.

Congrats, you've won. Your prize is here.

Possibly, Ariala, that's a good theory ...
Of course, that brings up the notion of a lawsuit (which I'm going to elaborate on in the next post).

posted by Mademoiselle on July 28, 2006 at 6:39 AM | link to this | reply

Do you suppose there was extra "grease" on that contraption due to
French fries or other conspiracies?

posted by Ariala on July 28, 2006 at 6:30 AM | link to this | reply

I'll explain that, too, Azur ...
Though, let's just say, it ain't the hamburger!

posted by Mademoiselle on July 28, 2006 at 5:40 AM | link to this | reply

That must have been a little frightening
I never understand why Happy Meals make people happy or is it just the toy?

Thank you, GEPRUITT.

Not sure I'd consider my harrowing ordeal "fun", however.

It gets worse ... much, much worse.

Yeah, he's fine, Steeler Fan ... any longterm damage will be minimal at best.

But his accident isn't even actually the "horror" the title refers to.

MADEM...

Good to read you again!  Still having fun, I see.

You'll have to.

Ok, not your fault,
but at least do me a favour and slap his mother for me.

Don't look at me, Davy ...

I didn't name him.
