Mlle, A-&-B, ms_brad, I have re-read this post and your comments carefully
And I have realized one very important and final point must be made. I start with the comment that The Wall is a study in personal and political (I meant global) differences. Then I concluded that at the end when he was convicted and forced to come out from behind his wall, that his personal isolation - doubtless self-imposed and drug-induced - ended.
What needs saying then, is that the global isolation must in turn, come to an end. That would mean nations must stand convicted before the court of humanity, of greed supported by war. Not just us or Israel, but also the nation of Islam.
It's even less easy banging your heart against some mad buggers' ideology!

Man, you're stuck on Lord Byron ...
It's from "Tonight, Tonight" by Smashing Pumpkins.
Top five biggest selling albums of all-time:
1
Thriller - Michael Jackson; (60 million)
2
Black In Black - AC/DC (42m)
3
Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 - The Eagles (41m)

There was only one thought that came to my mind as I read this and the thought was there at the end...You must be an amazing teacher! Enjoy the rest of your vacation. I'm sure that your students are anxious to get started again. Blessings...from one who knows!

TIMMYTALES, Last night I did some work on your "Blood runnin' down the
thighs of the city. Remember? We put it to a kind of Duane Eddy, Elvis rockabilly beat. Was pretty cool. Please don't get an injunction against me. If we put this one on a CD for dom or whatever, we will ive you credit by whatever name you like. It's fun!

Madem, You have me at a disadvantage again. Lord George?
I do not know what are the top five selling albums of all time. I'm sure Thriller is in there somewhere. I asked my brother and he didn't know either.

Oh, no, Kingmi ...
I meant what was the 2nd highest selling album of all time (I wasn't making a quality assessment).
Anyways, I was right, it was The Eagles' greatest hits compilation.
Personally, I much prefer Smashing Pumpkins
Time is never time at all
You can never, ever leave
Without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change, the less you feel

Mlle, Now a discussion of Hotel California, that's over before it starts.
It is nothing more than the resto f the /Eagles work, mostly 50 cent philosophy.

So suddenly you're all, like, some sort of Pink Floyd expert?
Last night, you didn't even recognize their lyrics!
Btw, what's #2 alltime? The Eagles' Greatest Hits? (Cause I know Thriller is #1.)
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
This could be heaven or this could be hell
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way

RumoredIntelligence, the Wall is great because it deals with the intimate,
meaning differences between people, and the global, meaning differences between ideologies.
