" We can try to control the uncontrollable by looking for security and predictability, always hoping to be comfortable and safe. But the truth is that we can never avoid uncertainty. This not-knowing is part of the adventure. It is also what makes us afraid."

I have this most marvelous book here,  "Comfortable With Uncertainty by Pema Chodron" and it has given me much peace and strength in difficult times.

I would happily mail it you if you would like. I just would need your address my friend.

Sounds like there's some kind of
bonus coming up and they're trying to justify giving you less. I think we're all emotionally involved in our work - it's difficult not to be, you spend most of your time there. I think though, that you have a good support system outside so you're one step ahead.

Sometimes the answers we seek can only be found when we disconnect in some way. Your outing was undoubtedly one of those times. I'm glad you're seeing things more objectively. I hope everything works out for the best. I'm sure it will.
