The Waif

The Waif
The small, luminescent girl, 'without any eyes' is a beautifully moving piece. The rendering of the incident is so good that the girl appears almost alive. Hope, as you have said, that you may venture out to find her some day. When you do that, do share the experience again, another day, another time. Well Sir, we're waiting. HURRY!

I think the creepiest bit of that tale
is how the living try to apease her with trinkets. Yep, it gave me a shiver. Great post.

Actually, our move has been pushed back to the second week in August. There was a delay in the closing of the first home, in Maryland.

Avant Garde, this is fascinating stuff, you must be having fun with the
research in your new home.  This sounds very Gothic and eerie. Cool stuff.

There are lots of them.

And we all know about me and my weird dreams.

I will only read you in the morning in future.

Yes, I'm very intrigued. I took a picture of Sam (my oldest- four) standing next to her grave one afternoon. There was stuff all over it.

Yes, I do. They are very romantic and sorrowful. I hope to catch a glimpse of this spirit, as well as many others there.

I shall, indeed. There is also a house, the oldest in Beaufort, where it is said that Blackbeard resided for a time.

Avant garde
If you are going to be on the Carolina coast you will be busy a life time. It is full of pirate stories and every sort of tale. This is a good one.

Malcolm
I don't think too much more is known of the people involved. But, I'm sure there is a rich lore of sightings associated with this spirit. I'll learn more in the coming weeks.

The hairs
on the back of my head (I don't have too many on the front) are still standing on end. I'd love to hear more of this tale.
