He basically tried. He decided that what I made for dinner was not to his liking and while he never said the words he basically called me stupid and then expected me to make him a seperate meal. NOT! If you are hungry enough you will eat what is put in front of you. I was pretty proud of homemade chicken noodle soup and hot biscuits. Pam had two bowls, Carl had two then had homemade apple pie after. James seemed to think since I didn't make actual meat that was not acceptable. He was given a choice eat what is there or starve and by the time Carl was done with him over the way he spoke to me James felt about an inch tall.

Whew (on all counts), it's true, if Carl doesn't walk the talk around James
then all the "Do as I say, not as I do" is not going to have any effect. James'd be having you cook his eggs over easy and running the show!

AMEN to that! Carl is trying to teach his son to treat women with respect. It would be a tough to teach it if he didn't do so himself. James decided to talk down to me today and I though Carl was going to have fit. I don't think James will try that with me again soon.

Bel, good to know, it's a sign of respect, I think, you're not the maid.
I always have to wonder when I hear about women putting up with that, I'd kick some serious booty if Gideon tried it.

I believe this was total accident. Carl is normally very good about taking care of his clothes after his shower. I suspect he dropped them on his way out. Carl is always the biggest kid of the bunch!

Bel, you and Cringe with the underwear! Although, this is a way different
situation, lol. I am totally down with the "no underwear' rule. Gideon wouldn't dream of going there, he knows better. It's only feet from the bathroom to the washing machine anyway, behind the partition, so he can damned well aim them in that general direction. That's where I draw the line: put them in the basket, I'll wash them, but I won't bend over and pick them up. It's rude.
LOL at Carl' being childish. Boys.

I don't blame you for this rule. If I was to even see a pair of mens socks in my washer, a nervous break down would follow...
I think overly white is good too...boys will be boys and sounds like you have a house full!!

Isn't "overly white" a good thing? or am I just being blonde?
But, that is a good rule! It's bad enough you have to wash them right? or do you give them the honors?
