Kingmi,
we have allowed ourselves to reach for the quick fix in all aspects of our lives. Climbing out of depression can be a difficult one. Swallowing a pill will not lead to happiness nor will it end the darkness, but it can certainly assist in the journey.

I've no experience but I've seen many who were depressed. I think the very last resort is medication.

I've given this blog 4 clicks for your contribution of a single frame cartoon joke. Thanks.

First thing that has to be determined is

if it's a physical or enviromental thing.  The loss of a husband grief is a natural part of the process.  Also many don't know that thyroid problems can simulate depression.

My opinion after watching my step-son these past few days...if you are simply going to hand them a pill and expect it to do the work...DON'T you do more damage than good.  Sorry, I am slightly angry today about this topic.

Whacky, it just concerns me that primary care physicians are proscribing
anti-depressants for millions of teens who may later never know what real happiness is...

My mom was on anti-depresents...they helped a bit. But I don't know that

the were worth the side effects.
