My boyfriend saw Little Man last night, Sophistie ...
If he ever starts speaking to me again, I'll ask him what he thought of it.

Cricket, the scene in which Mel Gibson is trying to use the spoon to "look" under the door is ...
(imo) one of the five scariest scenes in movie history. And I've seen a lot of movies.
Haley Joel Osment is no longer a kid, though. He appears to be going through an awkward phase ... remains to be seen if he'll ever emerge on the other side.

Mlle...
I saw Signs...it thoroughly scared me. We left early...all my friends thought I was an idiot for being so scared by it. But, I went with a guy and he was so frightened by the movie, I thought it best for us to leave early...he concurred...we never dated again. lol.
They like The Village...I've not seen it, but I'll probably try it out sometime in the near future. I really liked The Sixth Sense, but I'm a huge Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osmond fan...I think he's the cutest kid! Um...I haven't seen Unbreakable either...but my interest is peaked. Ok...time to shower! Cricket ><>

There's another water movie; Lake House. I saw the trailer. Kind of like time travel in a house machine. So did you have a good time with your movie?
10 clicks are here. Like those deer chips? Lol.

I'd say, personally, Aaron, I disagree with the consensus of (legit) critics roughly 9% of the time ...
Although, that's just in terms of liking or disliking. Not in regards to the degree of appreciation.

Luke Wilson really is boring, fourcats ...
He's not all that great-looking either, actually.
I much prefer his brother.

I've liked all the Shyamalan films I've seen
Sixth Sense, Signs, The Village, Unbreakable - I'd put them in that order, but I all had a certain something. I have read two reviews though from critics who otherwise loved M. Night but hated "Lady in the Water."
On the other hand, how often do I agree with the critics? I loved "Dude, Where's My Car?"

Okay, be back shortly with my post ...
I have to wait for my cohorts to go to bed, so I can gather my thoughts in peace.
Which reminds me ... sorry this post was a tad choppy. I literally had to write it on the fly (as I was getting dressed).

The popcorn is often the best part.
If it's any solace to you, I've heard that Click really blew.

Got home around 1 AM, Rcky ...
So, that's not too bad. In fact, my mother herself usually comes home later than that.

Your friends actually liked The Village, Cricket?
Almost everyone I've ever met (myself included) thought it was terrible.

I've liked Uma in practically all her films, BlackPearl ...
Even though, with the exceptions of Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bills, most of her movies have really sucked.

Pretty much anything involving aliens automatically frightens me.
Well, except for, like, Spaced Invaders.

But I haven't heard of any of those. Click is in town and I would like to see that, but will probably wait to see it in DVD. Have some popcorn for me, I broke a tooth and have to refrain.

The movie you suggested was a whole lot less stupid than the ones they suggested. Hope you enjoyed it anyway.

I feel for ya...I think Super-Ex looks pretty awful....but thankfully...so do my friends, so I have no fear of being dragged to see that one. Now...if I could get a group together to go see the Lady...you'd be more than welcome to come with us. I think we may actually go see it. My friends really liked The Village...and I like creepy thinking scary movies...so, this should be good. Anyways...Have a good night, if only in parody of the spectacle...

Hi, Mademoiselle,
Looking forward to reading your review. I'd kind of like to see the
Super Ex-Girlfriend movie, too. I like Uma Thurman in the
Kill Bill movies, but not so much in
Prime, with Meryl Streep. Actually, it wasn't so much Uma Thurman I didn't like. The script sucked, in my opinion. I expected to see something strikingly "close to home" and funny, but it missed the mark for me. As for the Wayans movie, they can be a little over the top for me, but it just depends on if I'm in the mood for something super silly. Anyway, I hear that so far, it's a hit.

Mademoiselle, you want scary? rent Dead of Night. A British movie from the
fifties. The only horror movie [has segments, not all is horror] that I know of that can become scarier depending on the imagination of the viewer.

Mademoiselle,
After being suckered into Unbreakable and Signs I'll never see another Shymalan movie again. Maybe you should be glad, very glad you were outvoted. His ultra solemn [but hollow at it's core] dialogue [apparently best realized in The Village] has turned me off from this guy foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Hope YOU like Lady in the pool water.

What I may do, actually, is drag my little cousins to see Lady in the Water, when I babysit them tomorrow. Thus, slaying two pigeons with one pebble.
Hey! That reminds me of a story ...

I'm a huge Uma Thurman fan, in general, Schatz ... so, I'll certainly give the movie the benefit of the doubt.
However, it's just that I'm really, really curious about Lady in the Water, for many of the same reasons you mention. Plus Shymalan films all his movies in this area ... plus I really loved Signs, which was one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.

I'm with you about the movie. I heard it is the movie of his career and he
had to fight to make it, even switching studios after he finished writing it. I will admit though that that darn super ex whatever movie would be a choice if I were going. Maybe I am. My best friend is down in the dumps. I think a super ex movie might just be the ticket.

Or not. Oh well. Looking forward to a revue either way.
