You speak in code, Michael--

To compare today's Islam with yesterday's Christianity is silly. Half a millenium ago Christianity had some serious issues relating to gratuitous violence and use of force to convert non-believers. Today we live in a modern world, and modern Christians (which I am not) no longer practice such barbarity; BUT modern Muslims do – not all, of course, but a large segment. Don't kid yourself for a moment that Islam is benign.

I know of only one Muslim organization that regularly speaks the language of peace, that regularly condems terrorism, and that supports the American effort to wipe out Islamofascism: The Free Muslims Coalition.

If you really want to turn the Islamofascists into friends, please get to the front of the line so you con be their next victim, while I prepare to take them out in order to protect the rest of us.

Can we preach peace and not violence?  How can we turn an enemy into a friend?

boy i don't know where to begin
islam is violent.  -- Christianity is just as violent.  this is sort of like the pot calling the kettle black.

preemptive strikes -- when you know an attack is coming -- when was that?  with Saddam Hussein? -- hardly.  I think he was a very smart ruler -- knew who not to bother. -- knew it would be disastrous.

bush only wanted to take out Saddam to remove a threat to israel -- that's all -- to pave the way maybe for israel's present military action?

what is see here is you writing in a vacuum -- making statements without checking with people who know -- there about a half dozen people involved with the Moslem religion on Blogit -- you could check with them regarding Mohammedanism.

and the brand of  Mohammedanism you mention?  If I am correct, that is a rogue faction, small in number and loud, and a lovely target for Christians to brand as exemplarly of the Muslim religion as a whole.

to use that as an example of Mohammedanism is sort of like using Jim Jones as an example of Christianity, isn't it?

I see plenty of propaganda here but not a whole hell of a lot of subtance.

and that's the problem with the issue.

it will only get worse as long as both sides speak from a limited and uninformed point of view.
