yeah, it's like 'nutritional yeast' or 'brewer's yeast' but you get it at the health food stores, it's a good source of B vitamins, not really anything like 'yeast' (yuck) ...

There are lots of little flies
here today. If I had hair they'd be nesting I'm sure.

I'm going to get some garlic tabs today for extra insurance. (And I'm glad they worked for your hubby!)

Never tried the brewers yeast
But garlic tabs work on both bugs and vampires! My husband took them while in Iraq and was the only one not tortured by misquitos or sand fleas.

Don't know if that's why she did it, but
Mom used to give us kids little squares of brewer's yeast every once in a while. And cod liver oil every day. She did a lot of baking, home made bread, rolls, biscuits. I just thought it was leftover yeast, and liked the taste of it. Seems like there was a time they told us not to eat too much yeast, as it made yeast infections worse -- but I could be wrong. :)pat

The thing about pest-type bugs (such as roaches, fleas, chiggers, mites, ticks, etc) that people often don't realize is ...
they hate dust.
Therefore, vacuuming and cleaning may actually create a more hospitable environment for them.
At least, that's what I tell my mother (when she asks me to clean my room), anyway.

Hi Nan...that's good news! As a nutritionist I have been recommending
Brewerst Yeast for years to ward off mosquitos and other little annoying insects, and yes it does work. People use to look at me like I had three heads when I would suggest they use it instead of Deet! Good now you can enjoy your weekend. Hey I just saw your email and those are the most fantastic pictures I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sending them to me. Take care and stay cool!

hi ya, TGIF! It's a nice cool morning so far but I think it will get hot. I'm hoping my bike will be ready today so I can go pick it up.
