Nope Pam has been my baby since she was not quite 2. When I look at her and the person she is, I do see hints of her biological mother but I see a heck of a lot of me in her.

Passion's right, you are a good mother. They say a child is set in their ways by the age of six. Isn't that about how old she was when you became her stepmother? If that rings true, you picked up and are making a beautiful young lady of her. She's very fortunate.

Sounds like a great conversation...
and a gentle way to give your daughter the bad medicine with a spoonful of sugar. We all have to deal with situations and people who aren't good, and we all have to learn to compromise -- I'm betting she grows up strong and you are always close. :)pat

Actually Pam admitted last night that she gets away with ALOT less with Carl and I than she does her mother but for some reason she seems to prefer it here. Just might go to prove that kids really do need rules and boundaries!

Bel, that sounds like a workable situation. As a kid, I went through
custody battle hell. It helps so much to know there is someone to call to get an emergency rescue to get out of a heated situation. Otherwise, it really can feel like being trapped. I understand her feelings of divided loyalties all too well. Good job.
