Corbin,
So glad to see that some things here have not changed...that you write the facts is apparent. I am trying to catch up on all of my reading. I especially appreciate your sharing this one. Blessings...

Don't Quite Know What's More Hateful
...this particular posting that demonizes many Muslims and their religion or the things over there you're rightfully concerned about. It's a language/emotional issue for me - people often critique what they're concerned about within themselves. As you know, our own approval rating throughout the world has been consistently falling for years. It certainly isn't because they "hate our freedoms".
Either we respect world opinion, or we should know where to look for many solutions...
Thank you - yet again - for another thoughtful post.

That was a long read and I confess to skimming.
However, I got enough out of it to understand why I have never 'bonded' with the culture.
I can live without their beliefs, but then there are a lot of Christians on the planet that I conclude have weird belief's as well.
Only difference is, the only other kinds of people that fight against humanity, cowardly hiding behind women and children non-combatants, are just run of the mill criminals.
As far as I'm concerned we should help them get to the promised land as quickly as possible.

I am with Passionflower on this one. Wish we could burn those books in our country. I guess I will never understand those who teach hate....

Blonde isn't that they way it is with all things in life......
Don't we tend to remember the negative over the positive 4 time out of 5? I'm sure if most making the generalized statement were queried further would quickly drop the "All"....
Just as I should in the title line of my comment........

Great Post. It just bothers me a little to hear people comment on your post to "all of them" like they are saying all Muslims are bad.....they are not....it is the extremist and particular sects that are. Just like the Neo Nazi Skin Heads in American that are a big part of our Military now, I'm not proud of that cause nor of their views. Extremists make any religion bad.....yes.....even Christians that go and shoot abortion doctors. I have Christians in my family that tell me I'm going to hell and will have nothing to do with me because I do not read the King James Version of the Bible, but you know what I still do not sterotype "all Christians". Anyway, I think it is important to be educated on the extremist and terrorists of the world...and to protect the US first and foremost....it is my Great Country...but it is frightening to see people sterotyping and hating a whole country based on what they think they know or have heard about the extremist side.

All sorts of this kind of information has been blatantly available to people and still they are yelling be nice to these people. Why don't we get them out of our colleges and Universities. Play Hollywood, don't go to war even when you know they will kill you if you don't kill them. It is a reality that they are planning to infiltrate this country one way or another. All of them believe they are right and we are the infidel and it is as you have shown entrenched into those children almost from infants. We need to wake up.

Corbin,
as usual, excellent post! You have anticipated something I had planned, but haven't found the time for!

Ypunday already has his also excellent answer from you, but to Passionflower I am forced to say (unfortunately!), 'honey, were digging!'

To answer your first questions....
With geopolitics...each person ( country)deals with each situation at that particular time. And like time geopolitics is a sea of shifting sands.....Today's friend is tomorrow's enemy.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend...friends change as do enemies.

You are a good researcher. I cannot disagree with facts (or R own success)
But why do we as the uSA always choose fiends who are thus? The list is long--Batista in Cuba, Pinichet in Chile, Marcos in Phillipoines, Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Noriega in Panama, before we attacked these last two?
I would love for USA to live up to the best values in the Constitution and in the writings of the Founding Fathers, who also struggled with excluding women, who accepted slavery etc., --but George Washington gave up the practice of slavery, and Lincoln did the more honorable thing during the Civil War. I also think the Middle East loses a great opportunity by NOT condemning the recent train bombing in India, where Pakistan was involved indirectly according to Man Mohan Singh. They do tend to support any Muslim against outsiders, and lose their claim of fairmindedness. Any type of hate or EXCUDING leads to more of the same (a la Hitler), if not stopped by good citizens. This is why the current policies of killing "them" and folks "not like us" is scary and smells of fascism. But I am agreeing with you, overall, because you have the facts. In the face of these facts, why does USA love it's hateful friends so much?

They can teach what they want in their own country...
But here in the US it should be outlawed. These books should be burned and the people teaching this junk should be deported for good.
If we don't do this, then we're digging our own grave.
