Yes, Missouri is known as Misery in the summer...and all year round
depending who you ask! LOL

I've heard that Missouri summers have always been nasty, Ariala!
I take it you're not close to a lake, river, stream, pond, swimming hole, etc.? Thanks for reading, and keep cool! Snow and ice will be here before you know it.

i was having the same thoughts yesterday, writer. isn't this typical
summer weather?  i can't help but wonder if the constant attention to sensationalistic journalism is resulting in fabricated hysteria.
