yeah, I just can't take it anymore either- it must be harder to take as one gets older. The humidity is just a killer- I'm so glad we didn't move to Florida!

Nanaroo, HOT, HOT, HOT here too. I'm pretty much staying in. I'm wimpy I guess. Heat never used to bother me but I can't take much of it nowdays without feeling completely worn out.

Hot here, too, Nana. Yesterday was high 90s, but the humidity was unbearable. I couldn't go out, can't breathe. Today is not much better. Offbeat got the rain, but she didn't share it. lol

What a good idea! I've been doing that with my jacuzzi- keeping it cool and jumping into it periodically.

the last time i was in a place where the temperatures soared so
dramatically, i filled the tub with water and left it. everytime i felt hot i got in the tub for a few minutes. the water immediately cooled me and i didn't have to run water every time.

It's mid-July. Kids are out of school for summer. Swimming is in.
So they're probably enjoying this hot spell. But I, for one, like to get out in my yard and work, and it's too darn hot. Plus, no rain - my plants are drooping. But as you say, it's not hurricanes or tsunamis or a shooting war... :)

It's predicted to possibly, maybe, hit triple digits here today (Philadelphia).
Although you wouldn't know it from the climate in this house; it feels like a meat locker in here.

The cold shower is a good one. What I do is work down from warm until it's
too cold to stay in. Works well.
