- Go to Voodoo and Christianity - what's the difference?

This is true....only that with Christianity...they don't like to call that "supernatural"

In our Western civilization...
We sometimes become very parochial regarding religion, which for most of us, equates to Christianity. This is why Dome's post is so interesting. He steps outside the "common wisdom" to show us that what we believe is, possibly, more universal than any of us had suspected. That's a slick accomplishment.
I just posted an article that comes at this subject from an entirely different perspective, Why I Believe – And What. Check it out...it may be just the compliment Dome's post needs.

Thank you. I can have my own agenda and it should have not bearing on yours and the same to you. You are a good writer, I enjoy your posts. There was no sentence saying I had to buy it to enjoy it. Nor do I have to get mad at you because you don't believe what I do. Neither of us will change the other and I would miss a good read if I chose to boycott your posts. So I'll properly attend my thumping and read you along the way.

Sunnybeach7 - I don't see a heck of a lot of difference
Both faith systems are working off of the reactions of the human brain to stimuli, both in a physical and cognitive sense. Both rely heavily on a faith in the supernatural. The only distinction that I see is that Voodoo, as you mention can be used for both good and evil, while Christianity encompasses a faith in the spiritual realm solely as a means of combating evil.

Justi -- I sense a new attitude in your comments - which is a good thing
Blogging and commenting is supposed to be fun, I find your new tongue in cheek approach entertaining and most welcome.

Gome, forgive me for forgetting, but do you have little ones?
Ever seen Lilo and Stitch? The scene where she has voodoo spoons in hula skirts in a jar of water and she's shaking it? Too funny!!

Not much difference if you ask me.
Only that Voodoo likely requires a lot more props.
Many people believe that Voodoo is meant to cause evil also....but I was told this is not necesarily true.

This is a good post. Of course I don't agree but that is not significant. You have made some very good points. There are too many instances where these are blended.
