That's a good question...
The most consistent answer I have found (and not everyone agrees on this) is to ensure that the calories you do take in consist mainly of "complete" protein and low-glycemic carbs. Complete protein is most easily obtained from meat, fish, poultry, and the best are egg whites and whey protein. (I'll write about these in a later post.) Low-glycemic carbs are those that contain complex sugars – typically the things that don't taste as good. If you stay away from refined foods and sweets (including sweet fruits), you will do just fine. In this regard, apples are much better than grapes (even though grapes have some powerful antioxidants in their skins). Be sure to maintain a full supply of soluble fiber as part of your diet.
Good luck!

I have a question though
When you reduce calories, does your enrgy levels drop too? I can't think of anything worse than living a long life but having no enregy to do anything. I know I personally find when I reduce calories I'm so tired and cranky no one wants to be around me. Would that pass?

Since you seem to appreciate my writing...
May I invite you to get a copy of my new book The Chicken Little Agenda – Debunking "Experts' " Lies, where you can find a lot more material like what you have read here. Ordering information is available at my blog about the book.

I trust you visited the actual website...
Not the limited mirror here at Blogit. For any other readers, go here to see what Ariala means.
In the next few weeks I will be fleshing out my South Pole Slide Show (I spent 13 months down there), and adding another about Exotic Diving from the Arctic Ice Pack to the Equator.

You're Welcome...and Thank You
If you apply this information, you can retain your smarts (which you have aplenty – obviously) until you finally check out...way down the line somewhere!
