Avant-Garde, I am willing to keep an open mind on this subject
This again is one of those mysteries of the universe that I wonder if anyone can truthfully say they know for sure of: the existence of aliens. However, I do like the intellectual exercise of taking a detached, objective perspective to the human race, and looking at where we need improvement. Certainly, bigotry, emotional attachment to outmoded ways of thinking, and zealotry rank high on the spectrum.

I think the problem most people have is wondering how these spaceships get here, when the nearest star is 10,000 light years away. I have heard that they enter worm holes and black holes, and are able to manipulate time and space. It's all very advanced stuff. But, after all, they are the ones coming here at will.

We all must live out our best values, the religion we preach, the morality we expect of the world. Power corrupts; Roamns, British, Ottomans---every colonial regime has collapsed. India alone survives as the longest continuous civilization based on Hindu values, that also adapts, and welcomes minorities, religious or otherwise. India never created a Guantanamo or abu Graib, despite miltants attcjking its Parliament about the same time as 9-11-2001

I've heard it said that we are progeny of a very evolved species, who monitors our behavior and gently steers us from self-annihilation. I wonder at the surge in sightings upon development of those capabilities in the late '40's.

But generally, it is a bit arrogant to asume we ARE the highest beings around. Eastern thought talks of many planes of consciousness around us, like radio-waves etc. when those with the right tools can "listen in".

Avant, aliens would not benefit from our minds or hi-tech, since UFOs r gr8
They are experimenting on us, some of the reproductive organs of those abducted, andmay use us as we do animals -- lesser life forms. And I believe all this; I will write a book soon. Send me more thoughts, materials, footnotes.

Well they are often referred to as intelligent life forms
