Real World Update for Mystic.......
I suppose you would prefer our ecomony to be that of a third world country? That we had never developed the mass production of the internal combustion engine and that we all still got around in buggies and rode horses........
That would be the consequence of what you state.........You kind of sound like one of Cher's songs.....
"If I could turn back time.....If I could find a way....."

What's sad is the sand dwellers would be of no ...
consequence if we hadn't built our whole economy around oil.

Corbin,
This is a good piece. You are so correct in stating this. This is getting to the bottom of the problem in a simple and straight way. Israel, maybe with our help, is going to have to put the lights out on the whole area soon. They can't allow Iran, with some help from Syria, to dictate the actions of Hezbollah and other "armies". This is going to get ugly, but it will get sorted out. In the end Israel will be the winner.

Corbin,
war 'by proxy' is nothing new. The most recent parallel is probably the Spanish Civil War in the 30's, which saw Nazi Germany on one side, the Soviet Union on the other, with a lot of later Western Allies mixed in - and everybody 'volunteering', of course. The Nazis were trying out their new
Luftwaffe, the Islamo-Facists in Iran are trying out their new missiles...

Corbin Dalls you are right, for the wronf reason, my brother. Why? Let me
say: this "WAR" is a failure of diplomacy. One, Iran (and Iraq) with oil and Israel for an opponent, is treated differently than is North Korea which has thumbed its nose at USA. Perhaps the one lesson is, "Do not take Isreali soldiers prisoners, because they are prorected by some higher law, than the Geneva Conventions and United Nations." TWO: the failure of diplomacy continued after the death of Arafat, after his visit to the White House, and even after the ugly murder of Israeli Premier Yitzhak Rabin. There was no effort to be just or fair to a conquered people. After getting a Palestinian leader other than Arafat, the US claims Israel has no partner. US and its friends try to label and rel;abel justice, truth and liberty, without success. We have fewer freedoms inthis country today than last year! Remember: even the American Indians who lost their land did not disappear. The humiliated, weak undemocratic Arab leaders and regimes will exploit anything to save themselves. Israel may get away with killing civilians, bombing gas stations and bridges all over Lebanon, but the people and justice will prevail. Trust JESUS
