That's precisely what the New Age movement seems to teach - that it is intolerable to hold traditional Christian beliefs that are based on the Bible, yet we Christians are expected to "live and let live" and accept and even tolerate New Age concepts of "God as we understand Him." "Live and let live," in fact, is a common 12-step slogan. I would like to repeat what I said in the blog - if you insist in a 12-step group that God is really the God of the Bible, you will receive a great deal of negative feedback. The implicit feeling is "you have to accept this definition of God as we understand Him in order to recover from your addiction," and those who have come to believe that 12-step methods are the way to recover are susceptible to such peer pressure.

My 'God bit'
My concept of God is that He is the God of the Bible. Some people find this concept to be intolerable, yet they want me to tolerate their beliefs.
