- Go to I Have The Secret Recipe For Coca-Cola
The recipe was stolen by people who worked at Coke
They then tried to "sell" the recipe to Pepsi, who turned them in.
A secret new product was supposed to be involved also.

Why would Pepsi want Coke's recipe? Because they can't have it. Who knows whether these two humpty's have it right or not?

Cindy, you weren't supposed to use stainless steel. HAHAHA Just kidding. I've never tried any of those scientific experiments with coke. I got my first office job fresh out of highschool and right outside my office door was a coke machine. It was 1955 and coke was still in glass bottles and cost only a nickle. You would not believe how much coke I drank in the year that I worked there. I'm surprised my stomach did not disintegrate. I've never been able to enjoy any kind of cola since that time. Since that year of coke, if I drink pop, its Sprite, Fresca, or something on that order.

'Nail in the Coke'
I once did a big science project for a science fair. I put 3 different types of metals in 3 jars of Coke and left them there for several months to see which metal would weigh the least after that time (thinking they may disinigrate somewhat). To my surprise.....none disinigrated at all. I concluded that the coke's acidic fizz was likely gone after a couple days. Sorry to ruin the 'nail in the coke' theory.

I love Coke! It doesn't like me though!
It's one of the few indulgences that I allow myself on occasion. And then I suffer :)

Bel, I have always heard that if you drop a nail into a glass of coke and leave it there it will disintegrate. I have never tried it. LOL

Thanks Corbin!!
I would think it would be beneficial to Pepsi to turn them in. The PR is great for them and in the end it pretty well clears them of any wrong doing.

Bel...
I heard the same report here.....but they said that Pepsi turned them in for trying to do it.....
My guess is that Pepsi saw a much bigger PR gain by turning them in....than having the formula.
You doing do girl......keep it up!!!
I'm gonna add a star to my comments for everyday you stay clean!
