We're not so far removed from lynching times. We do it under secrecy, and by means of the law nowadays.

tHANKS FOR SHARING THIS reminder of our savagery. Reminds of of the posse
being formed against Hamas and Hezbollah. I thought soldiers were trained to protect themselves; trained killers and pardoned (before hand) murderers they are. But the "witches of Islam" must be stopped, at any cosy, especially to our own humanity!!! Sorry I found the CRUCIBLE of Arthur Miller too alive as a metaphor for the news of today, and your bringing to light our misdeeds and rapine ways.

Exactly. To me, the truth is far scarier, because it is true.

avant-garde, you are quite a story teller, as well as a good researcher.

avant-garde...
Your research on this proved to be very worthwhile in that you have an extremely interesting story. You did an excellent job with this.  It is a bit scary.

Just a bit off from the legend is the truth.  It's amazing how the imagination runs away with us.

Weird or cool? That's neat. I've done that with a few others here. Yes, we are vibrating on the same frequency.

I know you'll think this is wierd too...but-
Twice today, you and I have posted exactly the same comment at almost the same time in 2 different blogs.....somehow, we're on the same wave length.

It was reported that this entity was a witch in the paper, by a so called ghost hunter. I believed it for many years.

Thanks again. I'd certainly love doing this. It just takes a long time to do the actual research!

Thank you. I love this type of writing. But, unfortunately, I don't have much like this one.

Avant -
I agree with Rcky and Rumored. As I was reading this I thought, Wow! Avant could start a series on the stories behind the legends.

avant-..you could do a series of posts/stories like this if you....
felt led to...you definitely have the knack for it....

No, it is not a well known event. I was working with a historical society and did some research on my own. I guess it could be.

I have not personally experienced anything there. But, I have spoken to others who have. One girl in particular got a little too close, and was subjected to a frightful experience that haunts her to this very day.

Yikes! Scary story!
How come they haven't made a movie about this yet? Sounds like it would be a good one.
