Thank you for reading. I am at least being read and responded to with integrity instead of hatred for the most part. Thanks.

Justi,
there's little I can say that hasn't been said by Gome, Corbin, TAPS and others...let me just say, keep up the good work!

Gomedome, Avant Gard, Corbin, and Taps
I thank all of you for your comments. All the comments on here vary drastically, as we people do. Thank you for speaking freely and I am thankful that we are able to speak freely.

Justi, Information is a dangerous thing only because of what people choose to do with it and there is no control of that (that I know of).

We need to do whatever is necessary to eradicate this invidious thing. If it means tracking them, then we need to do it. And you're right: some things are better left unmentioned.

Justi - I don't understand how anyone with any form of reasoning ability

could support the conspiracy theory position.

I remember when this ridiculous conspiracy theory was making the rounds here on Blogit. When I told a few people to smarten up, I was attacked from every direction.  I summarized it HERE ...Thinking that a conspiracy of this magnitude could actually be pulled off is the epitome of naivete.

It is strange that someone would be so deceived, yet it is not strange I know to expect it.

I agree. The University as a whole is supposed to be very good. The president is able to fire this one person, why doesn't he I wonder?

You're damned if you do and damned if you don't it looks like. I think there must be freedom of the press but in war time the press has always been careful to judge not to put out those things that might be a danger.

I get your point. I do believe in free press. I just think there are secrets in war time.

Justi, we need to let the terrorists have this nutty professor's furry butt!  We just don't need any more trouble.

How I'd love to be a kid again.  There were no problems.  Love ya

Like I told Corbin, I wish I could

line item veto/pick and choose to whom I pay my taxes.  For example, if I lived in WI, I would choose not to let my taxes go to U of W.  But darn it, even that idea brings challenges since U of W has one of the best schools of nursing in the country.  So I would sacrifice one to spite the other.  Urrrgh.

But yes, Justi, I certainly see your point.  I'd like to believe that these freakazoids (as Corbin called them) are rare.

Good blog luv but it does seem to me that a professor should be fired for inciting unrest or straying from college policies. I'm just not certain it's a good idea to suppress all news.

Seems to me our focus here ought to be on the line about the best kept secrets are the things not talked about at all.

Governments that start blaming the media for everything are as scary as the terrorists luv. We have such a government here now

The world doesn't hate us, only bad policies carried out in our name ...
if you don't like living in a society with a free flow of information, I suggest you migrate to the USSR where the state-run media tells you everything you "need" to know.
