Growing up we just got to watch "Little House on the Prairie"
once a week. How I loved the intro to that!

Hmmm...
I guess mine would have to be the music played at the start of every ER episode.

first i'd have to decide what my favorite show is but i will always love
the intro music to the no longer shown ABC's Wide World of Sports and the music for national geographic specials. also, there was a science show when i was little called "what's new?" that featured an animated sketch of a drummer boy and fife player parading through beakers and other scientific symbols. did anyone here ever see it? i think it was on PBS during the sixties.

...to boldly go where no man has gone before...
I really like the cheers theme song too, although I never really watched the show...I'd listen to the song then change the channel.

Whacky, would you believe.....I never watched TV growing up, my Dad wouldn't let us have one. He thought we were better off doing our school work or reading or playing outside. Would you believe.....when I got married, we always watched what my husband wanted to watch. Then my children took over. I don't think I was ever in control of prime time TV choices until my thirty year marriage ended. So, I can only think of things like
Star Trek and
Lost In Space. LOL

I liked 'The Jeffersons' growing up. I remembered how lively the beginning was, and how it prepared you for the antics to follow.

"Seinfeld" didn't really have an opening, actually.
However, I'm a huge horror anthology series fan. And my alltime favorite opening was the intro for the show "Tales of the Darkside". When I was very, very little it actually used to make me run and hide.
Man lives in the sunlit world
of what he believes to be reality.
But, there is, unseen by most, an underworld,
a place that is just as real,
but not as brightly lit...
