Good to hear Nanaroo, rest is the best treatment overall methinks!
I'm allergic to penicillin and was prescribed it accidentally, the reason I know is because a few days into the treatment I swelled outwards everywhere by an inch in ablotchy raised rash.
It took two weeks to go away, and it felt like the itch was under my skin, there was no peace and very little sleep.
What pissed me off the most though is that I couldn't go to my local dive where my most recent infatuation was sure to get some other girl in my absence. Not that he'd ever even spoken to me, or I'd done anything to elicit his attention - other than have a rapid almost visible heart beat within spitting distance.
I'm sure the stress added to my discomfort. I was 17 and my world began and ended with my crushes.

Nanaroo - hope you're more comfortable now.
Rest up, and use as great excuse to get waited on!

cringe and taps
Well, got back from the doc- he put me on some prednisone for the itching and swelling. The doc said it is not scabies and we know that it's not bedbugs - we have looked for all the signs of that. So that leaves fleas, spiders and mites. No sign of a flea anywhere and we know how to look for those- we comb M. Cat about 12 times a day and we would know. Our house does have lots of spiders though and I think it might be that. Either that or microscopic mites from the mouse that M.Cat killed about a month ago. (The mouse died somewhere in the house where we couldn't find it.) Thanks and I will keep you posted. Fourcats, I think I will email you about the spiders.

Nanaroo, Did you check for bedbugs. They are the big thing in hotels and motels these days and you can carry them home in your clothing. Look closely at any mattress seams. They like scrunching down in dark tight places. I hope its not that because they are very hard to get rid of.

it sounds like scabies to me.
Regrettably, it is likely that other people will catch as they're passed by skin to skin contact.
They particularly like the joints, anywhere there's skin to skin, love wrists and feet, and heat in general. My daughter caught them when she was three months old from another baby who'd caught them in hospital.

Ewww!
Have you recently changed to a new body lotion? If so, it could be what's attracting the no-see-ems. To make your skin more comfortable, there's a cream called Eucerin Calming Creme. Good luck!

most of them don't - but there is one type that does and the dermatologist will be able to detect that. It's awful being dinner for something you can't see!

Wow...that sounds awful! Do they live under the skin or something?
