That sounds like more of a "teenage boy" type of prank, Jack ...
Or maybe, perhaps, a "deranged sociopath" sort of thing.

Mam'zell,
Why didn't you rip off some of the firecrackers? It would have made your whole day. The best thing is to make a time-delay fuse on one with a lit cigarette butt or a piece of smoldering cotton string. Hide it somewhere, then disappear back into the crowd and wait for results. When it blows, just play dumb.

I just thought external medication is safer than popping a painkiller.

Thank you, franciscan.
I appreciate you saying that.
I do like to be brief, however.

Ann, are you coming on to me?
Just joking!
My back was horrible yesterday, but I feel a little better today (due to some pain medication). Even under the best of circumstances though, my back is a tad stiff. (It's why I only sleep on a waterbed.)

I enjoyed reading your anecdote. I agree the whole episode should be read together to get the complete picture and feel of it. How's your back now? Does it need some medicated cream for muscle aches?

Also, to whom it may concern:
I apologize for the unholy length of this post ... however, keep in mind this is only, like, my third one in the
past week ... and those ones were really short, so everything eventually evens out.

Thank you, Vickie.
Hopefully, this is the last get-together I'll ever have to attend ... at least
this week.

Family gatherings...you can't live with them...
They can be such frightening things! Glad you've kept your sense of humor though!

I can handle the silent treatment
it's people I don't care for chattering nonstop at me that I can't stand.

Hahahaha Madame......
Funny story.....don't you just love family gatherings...especially if your not in the generation that is actually having the gathering!

Don't worry, microba, my family's not that bad.
Well, actually, maybe they are. However, I'll somehow manage to survive.
Thank you for your concern, though.

#2 has been mentioned a few times in passing, Samhain ...
However, I've noticed that, oddly enough, every time I've brought it up ... it has occurred shortly thereafter. Thus, for my own safety, I won't discuss it. At least, not on a weekday.

That's why people would rather go away for the official holidays to avoid visitations. Lol.

That's why I had to wait until she left for work to post.

It doesn't sound like you had a good day
and if you want my two cents...it sounds as if you are the scapegoat for a great deal. These children know if they go running to their mother, she will go running to yours and then you pay the price. That's crap. As for mom's boyfriend...let's just say my blood is boiling!

It's sould like I'm lucky after all.....
My extended family on both my Mom and Dad's sides only get together at funerals......and talk about how we should get together under different circumstances........
