I wish I was going with you
I'd love to visit America, and I now have so many internet friends there I'd like to say hi to. Are you going to meet up with any while you are there?

I'm digging your music association spirit...
Your recent blogs have the old fashion flair-like ambiance of the Fred Astaire/Gene Kelly...Bing Crosby/Frank Sinatra flicks. At any given moment, the character (Rob) goes into a song and dance. It's very refreshing to read. How exciting your travel plans. May I suggest a visit to Hialeah, Florida. It's a quaint, flat, swampy city, 20 miles from Meeamee Beach, Florida, approx.180 miles from Cuba. 92% of its residence speak only Spanish and drink Cuban coffee. Nice culture experience, just like being in Havana before the revolution. Makes for Great atmosphere for you photo portfolio

New York, New York---- Frank Sinatra Robdon67, or is it Chicago, Chicago?
I see the USA is on your mind.
You have your answers already but to be ready for the next Thanksgiving
1. It falls on the last Thursday of November every year. The dates do not matter. And Macy's Thanksgiving Parade takes place nomatter the weather.
2. October is already cold in parts of New England, and I suppose in upstate New York. Cities usually have less snow than the outlying areas, for obvious reasons. Yet, there are minor and major blizzards in New York every couple of years. Nothing you can't handle.
3. As for your blog itself, and your experiences, many will identify. I do....jobwise, etc. Every country has something unique and spectacular, be it Ayer's Rock or Victoria Falls (Africa) and Cape Point where two oceans meet in Cape Town. Yes, the uSA is blessed more than others...the best country to drive in or in which to take a road trip. Safer than most places for the price of hamburgers and french (Ooops, FREEDOM) fries.
