Perhaps she is an angel in disguise. Sometimes, I think people come to us disguised as our own pain. They remind us what is important, by showing callousness and disregard. By rejecting their gift, we can free ourselves from them.

avant garde...
i try to develop a positive mind as much as possible, but i admit that the recent events make me feel depressed...my body starts aching again and i am mad at the driver who hit us...she had the nerve to tell me "it ain't nothing"...

Avant-Garde, I felt that very strongly as I took a bus downtown and back

for an appointment.  It was a little difficult to sit still in such a confined environment and not want to get edgy with the person sitting so close to me, but I did some breathing exercises, found another seat, listened to music and told myself, "It's not them, I'm projecting".

I was definitely projecting some of my feelings about the appointment I'd been, too.  I just have to recognize that there are certain environments that bring out strong feelings in me, and not react to the people, osme of whom are very helpful and friendly.  There are just residual feelings that I need to process.

Yes, it is very easy to get caught up in blaming others for our own shortcomings. And, the more I do it, the more evidence I find that validates it! It gets more and more real, the more I invest in it. But, that's the nature of reality.

Avant-Garde, today seems to be another lesson for me in focusing
my attention on the positive and keeping my negative urges in check.  I am reminded of the Credence Clearwater Revival song, "'Fore you 'cuse me, take a look at yourself".  A message I need as well as anyone.

I understand. Sometimes, I become thoughtless, too. It does one good to monitor what goes out, for it always returns.

I don't think there is such a thing as 'bad luck.' I do think that we carry around beliefs about ourselves, which becomes verified by the experiences that follow.

Have you tried affirmations? They change your mind about what's in your mind, if you repeat them enough. They've worked for me.

Well spoken Avant.......

Precisely. Truth is eternal, and spoken in many different languages.

Exactly. Life appears to happen to us, so that we might discover this truth.

A little like the golden rule? Maybe?

Oh yes, avant-
The duality of the gift.  This spoke directly to ME; a lesson of humility as well.

Excellent! We are the students and the teachers for what we must learn. It is all up to us.
