Hi, Azur,
I always enjoy reading your posts.  You put so much thought into very few words, though you often seem to understate and/or underestimate your talent/skill as a writer.  You are one of those here on Blogit from whom I take many lessons, about writing and about life.  Thank you.  :)  As for me, I haven't met any fellow blogger in real life, but I have exchanged a few emails, which is nice.  Blogit was a good idea.  I'm glad I joined, and getting to know you is one of the reasons why.  :)

MarieClaire66, thankfully I know that comment was wrong about me
even without your kind comment and some of the other generous emails and  comments I received.   Nevertheless I am grateful for the kindness shown.  I think that sometimes such comments are flung out with little thought to what is being said or how they may be interpreted . It is not only that the comment was made but that most others appear to condone it and that has made me question this community and whether I should remain.

It would be easier here if I gave less of myself  and invented some fictional being. Having said that I don't mind a debate and can do so without the need to fall into an exchange of insults.  I have thoroughly enjoyed your comments and posts that I've read so far. I would also like to be in touch via email at some point and wil l do so when I have cleared a few deadlines.
Regards

Azur

fascinating read.
I can sense the hurt, caused  by the spurious comment. Of course, we choose what we want to reveal, we have more control than in real life, but then the words stick, hang around are read by many, so care is needed too. And yes they are give aways, it seems you are very good at reading people between the lines, literally. I have been touched by the kindness of so many in the blogit community, it is a real cross section of society. You discover so much about people, as far as improving my writing, I am afraid to say, reading other people's spelling mistakes only makes me mad and determined to avoid them myself (I mean the mistakes). I always assume people are honest but I also follow my instinct, some people are more real than others. You come across as 100per cent genuine to me. It is sad when someone cast a shadow on your integrity with sweeping statements that can only be misconstrued because no one can quite knows how they are meant to be taken. I have asked bloggers at time, do I take this literally? Did this really happen to you? I still prefer a direct question to a vague statement. Anyway, all I want to say is I like your blogs, it is interesting to read them. All the best.

I have been on the receiving end of this a time or two. You're right about being able to gauge a lot about a person through their writing.

Reading this makes me feel good. It seems like we are all very nice people
going about ours days, and being graciously received.

try not to allow comments to affect you personally. as you noted yourself

some of us aren't the greatest writers.  sometimes when we write, because we know what we're writing about, we sometimes don't express ourselves fully, assuming everyone else will understand our intent.  as a result, the words are viewed out of context and are misconstrued.

and then sometimes people here at blogit just have such different backgrounds that you're not going to see eye to eye about stuff.  again, no need to take it personally; it's just their opinion.

let's all celebrate july 4th giving thanks that we all get to express what's in our hearts, with freedom and safety for all.

Loved your post. Matter of fact I enjoy everything you write my friend.

I sense from reading you, that you too need this place just to kind of hang out, even with folks like me that aren't gifted writers. There is some soul attachment for me.

You are a very sensitive person, cautious, but I think very caring and loving. What I lack in writing skills I make up for with insights.

Honesty is paramount for me here in Blogit. It is a place for me to have friends since my Joycie died.

Others, just like you here, kind and loving people, have been my distant shoulders to cry on.

I have survived for the past 6 years because of people just like you, here in Blogit mostly, because I haven't done well in having a gaggle of real life friends close to where I am.

I do hope you comment, and write, and stay here. You have great value, worth, and are so very helpful to the likes of me, I am certain there are many others luv.

Good post. I sense honesty in many places, especially among those
who are hurting and even hiding behind a brave face.  They are honest, too, though their walls are high and their words confound.
