This is much deeper than the comment I left. It was all about 'me' for a minute.
Of course there were other passions I've had to deal with, like alcohol, and that was more a fruit of passion than my kids were at one time.

Hiding, I think appears to be the best alternative when it seems that life is dealing a person a cruel hand. Yet, these situations keep compounding themselves. I see so many peope involved in alcohol and drugs, who have pretty much resigned themselves to the assumption that there is little they can do.
