gomedome,
We're in time. God is outside of time [and space]. God has the past, present and future before him at once. That ,of COURSE, includes Joe's past, present and future.

Gomedome, I'm not going to get into physics or metaphysics or spirituality or any of that stuff; I'm just sort of hypothesizing a hypothesis here. Much as Ariala says about the holographic universe, quantum physics, etc. one has to wonder about all of the miraculous things we do that we have no conscious control over. In the body, there are billions of cells performing billions of complex transactions. Some part of us makes the heart beat. Some part of us causes us to digest and assimilate food. It's all beyond our conscious control; yet, much of it can be brought under conscious control by training. So, we're doing it. It's just beyond our conscious level of awareness. In the case of the body, it seems to have a consciousness of it's own. For example, it will fight to stay alive even when it's occupant tries to commit suicide. Maybe we are making everything else happen too. Who knows? Maybe we make the stars to burn and the galaxies to revolve. I don't even know how my heart beats of it own volition; and it would keep trying to beat even if my intent and purpose was to kill the body. How can I answer any of these other questions? Xeno-x -- the irregularity of it suggests that there are a set of variables
that trigger this sort of thing.

it probably good that it's remote
this time of thing -- and very hard to get into
or else our government would be right on it
and other such
and lord knows what they'd try to do with it.

Sunnybeach7 - I agree, intuition is the best way of describing it

I personally would chalk that one up to intuition. Everyone has it, but some people just don't listen.

Sunnybeach7 - I personally have never had anything such as that happen
I can say however that on many instances where I was in very intense negotiations with someone or a group of people concerning a business deal, that my mind has picked up on things subliminally that defy explanation. One such example was just 4 years ago. I was involved in a protracted negotiation over a fairly large deal that I wanted badly but something entered my mind that told me to walk away from it. I did, my competitor got the deal, the purchasing company went into chapter 11 bankruptcy protection shortly thereafter. My competitor never got paid and was on the hook for 1/4 million to the manufacturer of his product. How did I know before anyone else knew? My mother insists that it was the work of my patron saint. The bible thumping inlaws insist that it was my guardian angel. Both of these explanations I would find comical if I had a better one.

Ariala - I'm half buying it - okay maybe 3/4 buying it
There is some from of connection between our ability to transmit thoughts and the energy signature we imprint in time. "The holographic universe?" ....is as good a way of describing it as any other definition that we have.

cantey_1975 - I can buy that
In a very broad sense ESP or extra sensory perception is a capability of the human brain that all people have in varying degrees. It does stand to reason and we see many examples of people who have a heightened ability in this area. I would liken this experience as being simular to a situation where an individual draws on inner fortitude and adrenalin to exhibit superhuman strength in an emergency situation. Only in this instance, the strength being exhibited is mental.

Yes, I've had dreams a couple times
about someone that I was to meet a little later in life. Nothing big, just a name coincodence and a few things about this persons living arangements and looks.
The dreams themselves are what I would call "realer than life".

As humans we view time as linear
It is likely that real time is not so. Therefore, it is very possible that a "sole" knows its expiration date in this human form.
May explain an early visit.

you have to chalk it up to ESP
in my opinion. There's just no other explanation. The brain is capable of these things, albeit rarely.

Samhain_Moon - I can't even begin to explain this one
My sister had never experienced a premonition up to that point and has not since. I tend not to think in terms of an unknown conscious entity having anything to do with this sort of thing. We did find out later that Joe had broken up with his fiancee in the 48 hours previous to his death and was very upset about it. This lends us to think that his death, though accidental in appearance, was in fact a suicide. Admittedly this idea is conjecture on our part to make the inexplicable premonition fit.

Gomedome, Many things in life defy rational explanation. Interestingly enough, these things happen to people regardless of what they "believe." It doesn't matter if they are Christian, Buddhist, Atheist, Libertarian, Vegetarian or a bass fisherman. Whoever or whatever is really controlling the show (if something is indeed behind the scenes) is totally lacking in discrimination about who he/she/it visits. Samhain_Moon
