It's always a good thing to be careful, especially on the road.

thanks for posting this grim reminder -
Esp right now, while many will be out in the next few days partying.

hi food4 - always a good reminder to people that accidents affect so many
more than those directly involved.  we all have a responsibilty to our fellow man to protect each other from harm, directly or indirectly, physically, mentally and emotionally.  sorry you had to witness this, my heart goes out to the woman who hit the guy.

I was one car behind an accident the other morning
fortunately, we (my husband and I ) have a policy of never tailgaiting... there was plenty of reaction time for us to get out the the way of the care flipping over and over down the road.  Now I want to look up what happened.  The girl was crying and got out of the car... I hope she is OK.

Azur...
I haven't seen or heard from her for over a year.  She had some hard times, I hope nothing further has happened.

The possibility of someone
pulling out or stepping in front of my vehicle is my single biggest concern about driving. My father always told me that we must drive for everyone else to be alert of the possibilities.
Such tragedies give pause for thought?

On that note I was thinking the other day about ltlmac

Mysteria...
You are right, the force of removing the helmet may cause or exacerbate neck injuries, particularly with full-face helmets.

Foodude

Yes a horrible moment indeed.  It is a queer thing to be in the vicinity at the exact moment when someone dies.  I  witnessed a young girl get hit by a car and she was killed immediately.  It was her fault but the woman that hit her was just completely beside herself in hysterics.  The worst part was when the child's father happened upon the scene.  I saw the police holding him back as we all watched the paramedics trying, in vain to resusitate her... So sad...

BTW... I thought the first rule in a motorcycle accident is to NOT remove the person's helmet... That to me could mean the difference between life and death!

Take care my thoughtful food friend.  Sorry you had to experience a horrible moment.   It is SO true that anyone of us at any moment can be taken...   Let us cherish each other.
