I found the Artist's Way an extremely
interesting book. I especially liked the Morning Pages exercises.

I think I'd have to be in the right frame of mind to try that exercise. With the bad dreams I've been having lately, imagining I'm in a coma would probably blow a fuse in my head!! But it's an interesting idea.

Going into hte past and future in this manner seems interesting.
And I'd like to try it myself when I can make the time

That's a cool one, RobDon. Cheers for sharing it. Here's another interesting one you might like to try, though it's a bit scary.
When I was a sophmore in high school, my creative writing teacher gave us this exercise...
Imagine yourself in a coma. The circumstances of the coma don't really matter. Now imagine trying to communicate with those around you. What would you tell them if they could hear you?
What are your own thoughts and feelings about being in this state? What do you imagine life will be like when you wake up?
I tried the exercise, and she thought it was one of the best in the class...A bit scary, but still interesting.
