Or as she says in the Christian Germanic tongue, "T hunder!"

Glad you liked it, Symphony.

A wise decision, Sunnys Ghost.

P.S.

That reminds me ... you're not Shawn Bradley, are you?

Because he, too, was (very) tall and skinny.

I thought the exact same thing, Shawn/TallAndSkinny.

I don't think I could shoot a dog either, pkcricket,

I'd probably just end up shooting the keeper (to put him out of his misery).

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 6:17 AM | link to this | reply

I don't see why, Jack ...

(you'd be more friendly with him, I mean).

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 6:15 AM | link to this | reply

Actually, Dave ...
gorillas are apes (as are chimps, orangs, baboons, mandrills and gibbons).  Everybody else is a monkey.

It is rather complicated, isn't it, Ben?

I think there may be a few logic flaws in there, as well.

I'm not a fan of foot rubs, Blanche ...

either giving or receiving.

You gotta feel for whoever's job it was to train that dog
Have to do it over and over again, and give him treats and encouragement each time.

Thanks for the smile

*makes a mental note to watch for gorillas and snausages the next time she goes to the zoo*

Any Zookeeper

...who doesn't wear a protective cup is not really a professional.

But it does make for a hilarious story.  You're my #1.  --Shawn, "Tall & Skinny Jokester"

Mam'sell,

I just realized I commented on the comments and didn't say anything about the post that started it all.  Sorry about that.  Here, I'll say something to make it up to you:

I saw a Gorilla up in a tree once.  The zoo keeper was there, but wasn't carrying a gun.  Maybe it was because he was a she and didn't have to worry about the dog.

Mademoiselle,
Well, if I were a Friendly Waiter and some babe was laughing milkshake out of her nose, I think I would be more friendly with her boyfriend too.

I won't take too much stock, Mademoiselle, I'm being distracted, too
by the Mariners and Colorado Rockies game, and my boyfriend who is in dire need of foot rubs.

I plan to post about my time at the zoo, Blanche ...
(among other exciting topics) ... just as soon as my schedule allows.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 1, 2006 at 7:00 PM | link to this | reply

No one should put any stock in anything I said tonight, btw.
I am being constantly distracted here.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 1, 2006 at 6:59 PM | link to this | reply

LOL, Mademoiselle, oh, the imagery!

posted by Blanche. on July 1, 2006 at 6:58 PM | link to this | reply

I used to volunteer at the zoo, Blanche, and found the gorillas to be rather peaceable creatures, actually.

Provided I gave in to their lascivious advances.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 1, 2006 at 6:57 PM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle, I would be very leery
of getting involved with an escaped gorilla at all.  I suppose the gun would make it a little safer.

I don't get offended, Samhain ...

I was just making an observation, that's all.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 1, 2006 at 6:39 PM | link to this | reply

No offense intended Mademoiselle.....as (I think) you know Samhain is Halloween, hence the witch, and Moon.....well of course that is self-explanatory.....as with all my comments Madem, if anything offends in the least....feel free to simply delete....I won't be angry or resentful in the least.....I might, however, decide to write a blog about you.

posted by syzygy on July 1, 2006 at 6:36 PM | link to this | reply

Oh, sounds rough, Samhain ... I'm sorry to hear that.
I like the witch emoticon, btw.  The "mooning" one ... not so much.

....thank you for inquiring Mademoiselle.....because of financial embarassments......my recent wine purchases have focused on the month of vintage......not the year.....(I think tonight I'll have a nice March '06)......perhaps soon.....

What year, Samhain?

For the wine, I mean.

....hmmmm.....I could tag along next time to sort of balance things out.....while the waitress focuses on your boyfriend but........if I remember correctly, I am old enough to be your mother's father......so.....well that would sort of make me like.....no, I can't say the words........

Thanks, BrightIrish ... I certainly thought so.
