The intensity of relief you must have felt when you saw the American flag is something I'll bet you'll never forget. My grandfather was a WWI vet and a Russian immigrant who was very patriotic,. He had a flag on a pole in his front yard he would raise and lower every day. There is eomething that can't be explained about how intense that feeling can be. Happy 4th.
