Footie/ football is I think your soccer?
the world cup is happening where England and others are/ is playing lots of people all over the world... we were celebrating that on Sunday...(as England was playing Equator) if that is spelt correctly.
but we actually just went to our holiday home to relax and enjoy...we wasn't meant to really get involved but we did....LOL
