Has the Drive-by media continued to pursue this story? Or has the investigations and their reports proven that this was hyped up?
We have seen a pattern now for over 5 years......continuously throw out allegations and see if they stick. If proven wrong, drop the subject matter and move on to new charges elsewhere.......
Pretty pathetic, don't you think???

EXCELLENT CALL, and the perfectly approrpriate position to take. It's trully a shame that so few other liberals share your opinion on this. 
As for your observations about NEwsmax, what was your first clue? Could it have been the Ann Coulter pictures and ads all over the place? Be that as it may, you will find articles from a number of sources and perspectives there.
And if it being predominantly conservative is troubling to you, what do you make of the far more stringently liberal mainstream (a.. k. a. lamestream) news media?

consider the source -- Newsmax -- BE CAREFUL WHEN READING -- CHECK OUT THE HOME PAGE AND OTHER ARTICLES THERE -- you get the sense that it is a more conservative, adminstration friendly publication.
secondl,y, it's not just one person here -- seems conservatives like to isolate issues down to one person that they want to ridicule. There are several stories here.
I will attempt to read your entry here all the way through when I have and then see if I can come to a considered conslusion. The jury is still out as far as I'm concerned on this one -- we get conflicting stories here -- one side against the other -- so which side do you believe?
