RumInt -- You are right, we can't take it with us, and we
should not spend it all on ourselves!

I would give it to an organization that helps with adult illiteracy, a
cause very close to my heart.

Whacky, I love animals. My wife brought home a stray cat
last week.   We took it to the Vet, and found that it had a fatal disease, but she gave it a few days of love!   At one time a few years ago, we had three dogs, two cats, and two birds -- Today we only have two dogs, but nearly had another cat!

I'd pay bills, give to family and friends, charity, and then spend the rest
traveling around the U.S. and writing about my adventures!

If I had billions, I'd put €50 to it to square up my debts, but I'd still keep sending the begging letters. Did you get yours?

Yes it is
In the meantime, I just try to do it on a smaller scale.

Bel 1965, Isn't nice to dream of what we would do, if someday
we might be blessed with enough to do it!

Very good post

I knew the answer for myself even before I read.  Of course I would pay the bills, etc... wouldn't we all?  From there, I could live my dream of truly making sure our troops and their families are taken care of...even if I had to do it one person at a time.  I would also set up something for abused children...a place to help them heal and also one for adult survivors of abuse.

Of course with all the raccoons hanging out at my house, I think I would probably have to start a raccoon refuge as well LOL!
