Carl had never mentioned being tired to the degree he finally admitted after he and Kevin talked.  I think I need to go find that book.  Is this something that should be a red flag for him?  Yes, I probably over worry things, but right now life is going so beautifully, that I prefer to head off trouble when I can.  I realized he was tired more often and a bit more easily, but it never occured to me that this was a remnant of Iraq.

I don't remember tiaras being wedding headgear, either, but why not, Bel?

If every bride deserves to wear white (remember that line from Bull Durham?), then every bride should get to wear a tiara if she wants one.  (Although, when my boss wore a tiara all night at her 40th birthday party, I thought it was a little over the top, but she was over the top.)

So, Carl is the trickster of the group, PJ is his running buddy and wo unto anyone that falls for their gag.  they sound like a pair.  What is it about guys always trying to trip each other up.  I heard that term again, you probably know it, but I won't use it, since this is a family blog...

That is so sweet to hear about the happy ending for everybody.  (About Chris's being tired..there's a chapter in "Rumors of War", a book on the Vietnam war, where he describes his physical feelings after coming home, being tired is a symptom of a long, nervous exhaustion.  I hope he has understanding, sympathetic people around him, but it sounds like he does.

Bel -
This reminded me a bit of my wedding, where my wife and I told jokes to each other for about 3:00 minutes while this song played that was only supposed to play for 30 seconds. It ended up being the most-talked about part of the wedding - us up there talking away while everyone else listened to the music.

Sounds like a great day...loved the pictures too.  Have you printed out that blog and given it to Nikki?  I bet it would make a great addition to the baby book if she's keeping one.  (Are there mother's that don't?)

Your photos are great.
Also enjoyed your write-up of the wedding. It really sounded lovely. I'm so glad you got some good weather. Weddings are great times to catch up with friends and family.
