On our various road trips we see a few of those wind farms, particularly lining the skyline in the Tri-Cities area. Only now, we find people whining about birds being killed by the wind generators, will it never end?

True, ethanol produces acids that need to be neutralized with specail additives in the oil. The present gasahol (up to 10% ethanol) isn't a problem, but E85 is. It's not something that can't be dealt with however.

The water thing would be intriguing, I can't imagine why the oil company's don't find it attractive.

It's a good thought, but, horses emit methane, a greenhouse gas, and then there are the "road apples".

They can argue all they like but at least we're trying to find
Alternate fuel sources now. They're building wind farms out in Oregon and Washington State.

Better than ethanol would be a system to cut down use of automobile, truck, Ry,s. Like, maybe Monday could be a truck day only or something. Besides, the writing here is that ethanol isn't kind to engines over time.

hybrid cars are fast becomming very popular in NZ,
with a waiting time of up to 3 months to get a new one.
We had an interesting documentary on tv a few months ago, a NZ man, claims to have found a way to make engines on water!!!
He showed us the vehicles running on the documentary, he has a patent looming on his production, but says no petroleum companies will take him seriously,
it certainly appeared as if it was working, just imagine if indeed it is true ???????
