Symph,
Thank you.  I'll stop by to see how things are going with you.  You take care too.

Kingmi,
That sounds like a good idea.  I'll keep that in mind and look around for what's going on.  This is quite close to the first anniversery of The Great Yurt Festival, isn't it?  That was a rather rousing affair.  A followup is certainly in order.

Ariel,

You are, of course, quite right about lists.  I have so many that I keep finding them and saying, ''Now which list is this?  Is it current?  What was I about to do when I wrote it?  Did I go?  Did I do these things?  Did I find one of those?  And what the hell did I mean when I wrote down smrcin BC?  Why do I have lists everywhere?  I need to start a list of where all of my lists are.  Maybe I should just throw this one out.  Or will I regret that I did that?  I'll put it down and look at it again later.''

Thank you for reminding me about lists.

Shelly,

Things always get better after June 21.  On that day the sun reaches its farthest point north and begins to return to the south, where it belongs.  The Big Heat season is far from over, bnt at least the light at the end of the tunnel becomes visible.

The back yard looks like Satan has attacked with a flamethrower, but the sun has begun its retreat.

flightpath,
At first I thought it was some petty thief myself, but as I sat at home with an icebag on my head, I realized that it was more likely some desperate blogger.  You know how they can be.  They flounder along until their ship wanders into the doldrums, then they start stealing ideas from others in hopes of emerging from the situation looking like a heroic saviors and humanitarians.  I'm going to have to keep an eye open for presentations of the ideas that I remember from my list.

Jack Flash

Lists? Lists?? What are you, some kinda schmuck?

Aren't you aware of Ariel's Law, that shows beyond doubt that the making of lists  ensures that one never reaches the bottom of them.

The phases of the moon, the conjunction of the planets, and all other external fators are irrelevant : just make a list, and you'll a. never do the jobs on it, or b. realise the inevitability of this in some mysterious subconscious fashion -- and take the coward's way out. By losing it. Very wise, if I may say so ; saves endless hassle.

Have a nice, enjoyable, and list-free day, amigo.
