Are you serious? LOL
Your Grandma sounds hilarious. Ofcourse, I'd hate to be one of her appliances. I don't own a gun, but I'm one of the few people who actually should for unusual circumstances. The problem is that I hate loud noises. I'd rather taser someone anyday. Take care

Whacky,
I loved reading this story! No, I haven't shot a gun, but there's an antique one hanging over my bed. I figure I can always use it as a club, in case of need... That, along with the commando dagger I also have there against another wall (souvenirs from my grandfather's army days).

No, but my mom's ex boyfriend has. Guns scare me.

funny story!
No, I've never fired a gun, or held one in my hands. I'm not sure I'd like to. Too much irreversible potential in the weight of those things, and it scares me.

Whackydotter!!
I love your writing kiddo. You have a great talent, do you know that?
Getting published for you would be a cake walk. Without a gun of course.
I don't own a gun. I have fired lots of them of course, in the military years ago. Now it is too hard to even get a permit in Canada.
Probably a good thing in my case what with the grief and all. It would be fine now but I've got so that I hate to kill or hurt anything.
I've turned into a woose, that's like a moose but no antlers.

Whacky
This was expertly written. Your grandma got a taste of what policemen go through. It is hard to keep from firing when you're scared. My wife tells me that we should sell my guns, but I'm inclined to keep them. They do come in handy, as when a rabid animal comes in the yard. I keep them locked in a gun safe, by the way.

Whacky, I read this last night and I just about fell off my chair laughing
Your grandma was one dangerous cookie! Those refirgerators and air conditioners had better watch themselves!

Sure all the time...
even before I was in the Army where I got to play with an M-16, grenades, and even a machine gun once...
I grew up around people with guns, but there was always a "safety" lesson from the adult before we got to shoot at the bottles or whatever targets we lined up for practice.

She must have missed this training class. When a teen, I had a 22 rifle... Used it when taking an extra-curricular target-shooting class in high school - but not since.

I have done so a few times with a friend
at a range. I know someone who shot a lawnmower because it was playing up. it stopped after that

Whacky...
Many many times, but it has been quite a while now, in fact, I don't even remember the last one I fired. For protection in our house, I have a golf club under the bed, but I haven't tried taking it to the refrigerator.
