I was thinking about that last night, after it was written. Yes, I think that our bodies obscure our vision, although we tend to think that it is something outside of us that is getting in the way.

So, any significance in the mirror being covered with our old skin? Could it be that we're trying to make real what we see in the mirror, knowing full well that it is not really us?

This might explain why the TV in the un-used bedroom doesn't get dusty.
