Oh, and by the way, FW and Xenox . . .
Thanks so much for proving my point about rejecting out of hand what contradicts your prejdices. Thanks for making me look good. A smooch and a flower for each of you!

FW, to turn your argument on you . . .
Anyone who interprets everything through his or her hatred of an individual is in no posiiton to pass judgement on anyone else.
And as for goosestepping defense of anything, you obviously are not reading my work very well. If you did, you would see criticism of Bush and Republicans where it is warranted. But it's that hatred of yours showing itself again. You're doing some might fancy goosestepping yourself. Do those jackboots hurt?
"Global warming" doesn't exist for me because it doesn't fit the template of sound research. See the comment below, the posting on which we're all commenting, and today's Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness post at http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/WriterofLight1342/382358

Xenox, even though there is dispute about some of the data . . .
What's happening is not so much the issue as why it's happening, and whether or not the research into why is reputable and accurate. That's where the problems start coming up. If all we are doing is reading into the data the presupposition that it's all our fault, then the research is flawed.
That's like saying we must throw away our cars because of the risk of getting killed or maimed in an accident. (Indeed - if you really love your kids, why on earth would you expose them to such a dastardly risk?)
And, yes, I am calling the National Geographic Society's scholastic integrity into question. They have become highly politicized over the past ten years or so.

More hype, emotionalism, and name-calling
even in response to a post that calls those things out. I guess they heard the phrase "Pom pom shakers" and decided to use it often.

I'd believe Xeno before I believe a Bush pom pom ....
the possibility of global warming doesn't exist in your reality because it doesn't fit with your goosestepping defense of all things Bush or GOP. You would gladly sacrifice your children's and my children's environment to further Republican dogma.
Anyone who teaches religion as science should not be passing judgement on global warming.

actually its the coor's talking
damn you!!
the claims have not at all beenrefuted!!!
how can you refute the melting of glaciers and less snow on mountains -- and warmer weather in Hudson's Bay that is affecting polar bears -- that is happening. period.
sea levels are rising and people have to relocate farther inland -- that is fact -- it is irrefutable
in fact, shipping firms are waiting for the Arctic ice pack to dissolve enough that they can take that long sought for northwest passage along Canada and Alaska's northern shores -- gonna save a whole lot of time.
glaciers are receding worldwide -- greenland's ice pack is melting -- this is observed and measured.
sorry -- you cannot paint th8ings how they are not.
and you seem to want still to take the chance -- your grandchildren will hate you for it.
