Yeah, I did. It was full of entertainment for them, so they reveled in it.

Oh, avant-garde,
Bless you.  This is so sweet.  Happy belated Father's Day, to you.  I hope you enjoyed your day with your family.  :)

I think...
that he will like the multi cultural environment in London...currently we are like 350 kms away from Paris and racism and stereotyped views are pretty much alive here...

You're right. Kids are always ready to laugh and have a great time.

I hope that they will look back on me fondly. It is one of my greatest desires.

Perhaps England will be better for him. There seems to be a lot of unrest in Paris right now.

It is a challenging role
I find a light approach with humor works best.

i know...
i am used to it...i struggled for years to raise him...i just hope he'll get some more stability in the UK...maybe he will be able to make an apprenticeship in cooking or start a job and become more responsible...i think that our environment here in Metz plays a negative role in his well being too...a 45 year old man wanted to harm him today, but my son mastered him lol

I'm trying to be the best I can. Sometimes it's hard, and sometimes it's a breeze. But, it's always rewarding.

That's sad to hear. Every young man needs direction from an older man, whom he knows cares about him.

Yes, avant garde, you are living your dream of being a wonderful dad!

posted by una01 on June 19, 2006 at 1:53 AM | link to this | reply

well yea...

His dad had some regular visitation rights, but he always hurt him as a kid, making promises of gifts he never bought him, he never paid child support either and since 2004, he messed it totally up: he went to Cameroon without giving news for 9 months (my son did the worst things at this period, he even had to respond in front of a judge), now he is in Cameroon and pretends to have lost his papers, he was expected to show up in France since April and didn't...

His dad is unreliable and my son suffers from it...he has some other kids he doesn't take care of either...

Having kids has changed the way I see the world, mostly for the better.  Wouldn't miss the experience for anything.

avant garde...
I am experiencing hard times with my eldest son who is 16...he begins to become verbally and physically violent...there is no recipe to educate kids the right way...i also realize that i made a lot of mistakes, but problems are also due to the environment...i am happy to leave my building...i hope that life in London will change his closed minded brain lol, i really hope so...

Avant- Being a good parent means achieving a balance. It means providng
love and training. It is a parents responsibility to guide their children to the next level of maturity. To try to make children grow up too fast is a form of abuse. To leave a child to himself (or herself) without providing adequate guidance is also a form of neglect.  And they are all different.

I believe you are probably an amazing father., your children are blessed to have you.  It's surprising how they can change us to the very core of our being isn't it?
